Understanding Aritzia Returns

Here's what you need to know about returning to Aritzia. For regular-priced items purchased online, you can get a full refund to your original payment method within 14 days from the shipping date. If you're within 30 days from the shipping date, you can still get an exchange or merchandise credit on a Digital Gift Card.

For regular-priced merchandise purchased in store, you can get a refund to your original payment method if you return within 14 days of purchase. You can still get an exchange or merchandise credit within 30 days of purchase. Just note that in-store purchases must be returned or exchanged in store only, within the same country where you bought the item.

For all returns or exchanges, items must not be washed, worn, or damaged. All original tags must be attached, and you'll need proof of purchase (receipt, shipping confirmation number, etc). Specific items like swimwear and shoes have additional conditions.

Regarding shipping fees for mailed returns: returns are free in the US when the purchase was made while you're signed into your Aritzia account. If you checked out as a guest, a return postage fee of $8.00 (plus applicable taxes) will be deducted from your refund. TIP: It’s always good to be signed into an account so you can have all your order history in one place. 

Important Exceptions

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Sale items marked with a discount of 50% or greater are final sale.
  • Intimates, shapewear, hosiery, face masks, The Super Puff™ Personalized, and Salt & Stone items are also final sale.
  • Orders purchased using PayPal or Klarna are generally only eligible for a refund to the original account (PayPal/Klarna) if mailed back. In-store returns of these items will typically result in an exchange, merchandise credit, or a refund to a credit or debit card (for Klarna purchases).

Online vs in‑store rules

Online purchases can be returned online (mailed back) and in store, provided they meet the return and exchange conditions—like being within the stated refund or credit timeline (14 or 30 days from the shipping date for regular-priced merchandise) and not being final sale. However, online purchases of swim tops, bottoms, one pieces, and accessories can only be returned online and can not be returned in the store.

In-store purchases must be returned or exchanged in store only. These items cannot be mailed back to the online warehouse.

What counts as final sale

Items are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange if they fall into one of the following categories:

  • Discounted Merchandise: Sale items marked with a discount of 50% off or greater are final sale, whether purchased online or in store.
  • Excluded Categories: The following item categories are always final sale—intimates and shapewear, hosiery, face masks, The Super Puff™ Personalized, and Salt & Stone.

For sale items marked with a discount less than 50%:

  • Online Purchases: These items can be exchanged or returned for merchandise credit on a Digital Gift Card if returned within 14 days from the shipping date. They're not eligible for a refund to the original method of payment.
  • In-Store Purchases: These items can be exchanged or returned for merchandise credit if returned within 14 days of purchase. They're not eligible for a refund to the original method of payment.

Processing and Refund Timelines

Once Aritzia receives a mailed return package, they'll process the return within 7 to 10 business days. As soon as the return processing is complete, Aritzia will notify you via email. It’s important to keep in mind that it can be another several days until the refund hits your account depending on your payment method or financial institution.

The final method of refund depends on the payment method used for the order:

  • Online orders purchased using PayPal are only eligible for a refund to the PayPal account when they're mailed back to Aritzia. If these items are returned in store, Aritzia will issue an exchange or merchandise credit.
  • Online orders purchased using Klarna are only eligible for a refund to the Klarna account when the items are mailed back. If Klarna purchases are returned in store, Aritzia will refund a credit card or debit card, offer an exchange, or issue merchandise credit, as the Klarna account cannot be refunded in store. Subsequent installments to Klarna may still be required even after an in-store return.
  • Any returned items purchased using a gift card will be refunded as merchandise credit back onto a gift card.
